ATTITUDE TOWARDS WORK!

Hello Friends,

After a long time got myself back on writing something which has been disturbing me mentally…Today I am gonna share few things about “ ATTITUDE TOWARDS WORK” …

They have been sleepless nights for me wondering what am I doing. Thinking about my job…there are many times I have dragged myself to work due to certain reasons my attitude towards work had changed…it just gave me the negative thought of it…We all must have read that enjoy what your doing? But for me it was just the opposite…they could be many people out there who facing the same kind of issues which has lead them to give up on their work …

There is something I would like to share with all of u…which really touched my heart and made me learn the right kind of attitude towards work….A certain attitude makes us feel work is miserable while another makes us very pleasant…hence we need to cultivate the right attitude towards work…There is a story where i came across and really made sense to me….the story goes like this…

In a village there were many people working in a construction site building a temple…A sage who passed by wanted to know what was happening there, so he asked one of the person who was working there What are u doing? The labourer replied with frustration “Don’t u see I am cutting a hard stone. Look at my hand! Work is hell and to make matters worse you ask what I am doing? The sage replies I see you are cutting stone but let me know what is coming up here? The stone cutter says I have no idea and he is disinterested.

The sage goes to the next man asks the same question “What are you doing?” The man replies “ I am cutting stone and that’s my job. For 8 hours of work I get paid Rs 100. I have a wife and children to take care I’m doing my duty”. The sage asks him do you know what Is coming up here? And the man replies “Yes they say they’re making a temple but how does it matter to me, whether a temple or jail as far as I get paid?

Then the sage goes to a third worker and poses the same question. The man replies: "We are building a temple. There is no temple here; every year at festivals we have to trek to the temple in the next village. You know, every time I hit the stone I hear wonderful music. The temple work has put the sleepy village in a festive mood." The sage asks: "How long do you have to work on this project?" The man says the timeline is not his concern for as soon as he wakes up in the morning, he gets ready for work and begins cutting stone. He tells the sage that he spends the entire day here, taking a break between mealtimes. "When I go home in the night and sleep, in my dream I think of this construction and feel grateful that I enjoy the work I do, I am truly blessed," he said.

In the above story we find 3 men doing the same work but different attitudes. The first person thinks its hell, the second looks upon his work as his duty. However, the third worker thinks what he is able to do is a blessing. If the work itself had the qualities inherently, good or bad, then, these three men might have felt the same.

But in reality, it's not the work itself that is good or bad. It is not the work that disturbs us but something that's subtler; it's the attitude we have towards work.

"NAMMA BENGALURU"

Hi friends…

How many of us know the story behind this biggest HUB of India…Which is now called the Indian Silicon Valley…and home for many party lovers all over india…Yes friends today I thought I would share about NAMMA BENGALURU………..

There is a very interesting story behind this IT hub city…It goes like this…There was a King by Name Ballala of the Hoysala dynasty...he was on his hunting where he had lost his way in the jungle..and deep inside the jungle lived a old woman who took pity on the hungry and tired hunter (King Ballala)..The poor old women had nothing else to offer the King but the boiled beans…The hungry king was so pleased with her …that her named the entire city as “bele-benda-kalu-ooru”..In Local Kannada which means place of boiled beans…And this how we got the name “Bengalooru” in the 9th century...

Check out these pictures of old bangalore city…..

Town Hall

Hosur Road

Brigade Road

Did you know that in 19th century Bangalore became the twin city with the “pete”(like chickpete, doddapete) whose residents were “Kannadigas” and the “cantonment “ which was created by the British were residents of “Tamilians” and “Anglo Indians”….

Along with this during Kempe Gowda regime when he decided to built bengaluru he invited all the skilled workers from distance parts of the country….

Well now also everyday there are people travelling to bengaluru for their opportunities…this shows the welcoming nature of Kannadigas and which has now given the city its cosmopolitan complexion..
Now the city is Booming with more population…IT companies ..BPO’s …with Malls and Multiplexs…which is a good sign of growth..But naturally bengaluru is loosing its beauty of being a “Garden City” once....

Watch out the New Bengaluru

The green land turning into big size apartments ,Tech parks and Fly overs….Well sometime this thought keep wondering me always do we really need these flyovers….But unfortunately we need to have them due the growing population and traffic in the city…The traffic which makes us very upset…

But still we feel the pride of being a Bangalorean…People love living in Bangalore inspite of it turning into a garbage city from a garden city…The very disappointing factors it apart from its growth and opportunities Bangalore is loosing on the infrastructure which is very poor….

Guys take a look at these pictures which make us feel really sad that our own city the silicon valley in such bad condition...These are few places of Bangalore which are ignore by our politicans and BBMP which needs to be taken care very badly…

However the city is still we Bangaloreans feel so proud of it and say it with lot pride and attitude

"Phir Mile Sur "

Hello friends….!

This has been a long time dream and I am happy that I have started to write finally.
With my busy schedule I always wonder how to start of my pleasure of writing and from where…Every time I sit with my computer to start they were so many topics which I want to share…But always stuck which one to be the first…Couple of days back when I was discussing about this with my husband he happened to get me this idea of writing about my own country’s Sur

Phir Mile Sur

I hope everyone remember the song “MILE SUR MERA TUMARA”…This was the song which touched every heart of an Indian and which got the goose flesh to everyone who watches this song….
I still remember the days when I use to wait on Sundays 9 am to watch this song on DD (Doordarshan) everyone at home used to assemble at the TV for this song …
This was one song which focused on national integration and unity of India. And it also got the sense of pride in highlighting the different linguistic communities and their cultures that live in INDIA.

This video MILE SUR MERA TUMARA was first telecasted on 15th August 1988 on DD. And it captured so many hearts then….

After 22 years this song has been again re-recorded and got on television on 26 Jan 2010 by Zoom TV...It has same lyrics but the appearances of the language changed …And the new version is called as “PHIR MILE SUR”…

It is a nice thing that people still thought about re-venturing this video to bring awareness of unity in diversity for the younger generation of India…There was another good thing about it was the rock touch that they have used in between to capture the younger generation…And also showcasing sign language for the challenged crowd and ending with Indian Armed Forces.
But many of us thought it did not bring the warmth and spirit that the old version had in it…It was very disappointing as the music could have been still better and more than focusing on national integration it was showcased the Hindi Film Industry.
There were many personalities which were not shown like APJ Abdul Kalam, Sachin Tendulkar, Narayan Murthy, Vishwanath Anand and Sania Mirza from the younger generation.

There was one big disappointing that they were no one to represent Karnataka…Instead of Kavita Krishnamurthy who is not from Karnataka it would have given the fame if Deepika and Aishwarya had sung in Kannada instead of Hindi which would have got the warmth for the very own Karnataka……

The SOUL of the Original Mile Sur which was Enchanting in old version is LOST!
